Another famous tourist spot in Dantewada is the Bailadila Mountains which are famous for having rich iron ore deposits. This mountain range gets its name ‘Baila Dila” in the local language due to the resemblance with the hump of an ox. Aakash Nagar which is situated in the topmost peak of the mountains is the place where the iron ore mines are located.
